Vale of Clwyd Mind
Vale of Clwyd Mind began in the 1980’s as a small local Mind association affiliated to national Mind.
In its early years it was a small support group, raising funds by raffles and jumble sales to augment small council grants.

The organisation now has offices in Y Gelli and Rosemary Lane in Denbigh and at Vale Street in Rhyl. The organisation supports local people through regular weekly drops-ins at Denbigh, Prestatyn, Rhyl, Ruthin, Corwen and Llangollen which include arts, crafts, IT: computers, phones, tablets, and other activities.

Successful current projects include Musical Meatballs in Mind, Mindfulness Walking Group, a healthy living cookery course, allotment projects in St Asaph and Ruthin and an innovative GP Active Monitoring service in Rhyl.

Energy Local Corwen
Energy Local Corwen is a community project that, by helping match your electricity use with power from the local Hydro Energy Project, will enable you to take control of your electricity bills while supporting local renewable energy and ensuring financial surpluses are ‘channelled back and retained’ into worthwhile community projects.

When you sign up for this project, you become part of your local Energy Club. The club is made up of members of your community, plus local generators. As a member, you’ll have a free smart meter fitted in your home that will record when you’re using electricity (as well as how much it is costing you) helping you buy power in a better way.
